Room Reveal - Tangerine Laundry Room
I am so excited to share with you our latest project: the Tangerine Laundry Room! This room was truly a huge transformation. The Laundry Room had your typical builder grade finishes - wire rack shelving and standard utility tub.
The owner wanted to make this a bright space where she enjoyed spending time and didn't dread the task of doing laundry. I went with a tangerine accent wall and wildflower theme for the space. The galvanized metal pitcher was the basis of the design to incorporate the wildflowers and set a slightly rustic feel for the space.
The black bar under the shelves is used for hanger storage. This keeps them tucked out of the way but ready for use on laundry day.
Wet clothes can be hung on this clever wall-mounted drying rack. This useful and nice to look at drying rack folds out to hang clothes on and snaps back into the frame when it's not being used.
I needed a simple solution to elevate the utility tub without completely busting the budget so we came up with a simple skirt to enclose the bottom of the sink. This skirt was custom sewn for this tub. The fabric chosen continues the fun wildflower theme, uses a dark color to hide any dirt.
I was so excited to find this art since it exactly represented the pitcher and wildflowers that the room was designed around. I love that this is the first visual when you walk into the room while also having the amber bottle and blue-grey beads connect to the sink skirt.
Since the washer and dryer are top loaders, we needed to add more surface space as a counter was not possible. The laundry cart adds storage and additional working surface.
Thank you so much for reading about our latest project!
